Dr. Waleed El-Meneese 

Sheikh Waleed ibn Idrees Al-Meneesey was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He grew up there in a righteous family that encouraged him to seek knowledge. The sheikh began seeking knowledge at the feet of the scholars of Alexandria at the age of eleven years old, memorizing the Qur’an at the age of fourteen. He studied and memorized texts in all of the sciences. By the age of twenty-one he authorized his well-known poem on inheritance law which has gained great recognition and is praised by the scholars. Sheikh Waleed Al-Meneesey then traveled to Saudia Arabia for eight years, where he studied under the leading scholars of our time. Sheikh Waleed has received ijazaat in the various Islamic sciences from over one hundred (100) scholars of Islam. He is also one of the leading experts in the modes of Qur’anic recitation, having the highest chain of recitation in the world. He has mastered the fourteen modes of recitation (Shatebia, Dorra, Tayyeba and the four Shawaadh) and received ijaza from the world’s leading Qur’an scholars. The Sheikh received his Bachelor’s degree in the Arabic language from Alexandria University in Egypt, his Master’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence from the American Open University with the highest honors (summa cum laude), and his PhD in Islamic jurisprudence from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He has been praised by the senior scholars of our time, with his numerous works, publications and classes speaking for themselves. He is a leading Hanbalite scholar of jurisprudence, and a master of the Islamic sciences. He is well known for being a musnid (gatherer of various chains of ijazaat in hadith and other texts). The Sheikh is a senior member of the Permanent Fatwa Committee of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America (AMJA), president of the Islamic University of Minnesota, member of the Educational Committee at the American Open University, imam and president of the board of trustees of Dar-al-Farooq Islamic Center, and chairman of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF).


     Dr. Ahmed Sabalek

Sheikh Ahmed Sabalek was born in Aswan, Egypt where he began studying the sacred sciences from a young age with the scholars and memorizing texts in various sciences. He then moved to Cairo where he continued his studies in Al-Azhar University, receiving his Bachelors of Arts, Master of Arts and Doctorate in Islamic legal theory (Usul Al-Fiqh). He studied with the leading scholars of his time and received ijazaat from them in the various Islamic sciences, and is well known for being a musnid (gatherer of various chains of ijazaat in hadith and other texts). He is the President of the International Islamic University, a lecturer in the two holy sanctuaries, a professor of Usul Al-Fiqh and Creed at Al-Azhar University, Um Al-Qurah University, and many other Islamic and Western Universities, The head of the Center for Academic Research and The Study and Revival of Tradition, and The Dean of The institute of Quran and Hadith Sciences For Islamic and Arabic Studies. He is a member of several fatwa councils and one of leading experts in Usul Al-Fiqh. He has authored dozens of specialized texts in all of the Islamic Sciences that are taught in Universities worldwide.


    Dr. Tariq AiwadAllah

Shaykh Tariq AiwadAllah is one of the world’s top hadith scholars and is a leading expert on the various branches of hadith sciences. He has studied with various hadith masters and is one of the revivers of the science of hadith in Egypt. He received his B.A. from Cairo University’s Dar Al-Ulum in Islamic studies, and then received his M.A. and PhD from the Islamic University of Minnesota in hadith sciences. He has authored about forty books on the many sciences of hadith, and teaches various hadith texts all over the world. He currently is the head of the Hadith Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota.


Zidni Islamic Institute has many adjunct instructors, mentioned above who are world renowned scholars. These scholars are the top specialists in their respective fields and will be teaching intensive courses for the institute. These courses will be advertised on the institute’s calendar.  These scholars also serve as the board of advisors, insuring a strong and correct direction for the institute for the sake of Allah (swt).
